The American Historical
Keyboard Society

The American Historical Keyboard Society was established in San Francisco in 2001.  The organization's main goal is to provide an opportunity for musicians and audience members to experience performances on authentic pianos and early keyboard instruments.  Toward this end, we have endeavored to build a piano and early keyboard collection that is unrivaled in the United States.

While the pianos provide a direct link to the entire nineteenth and early twentieth century piano repertoire, the early harpsichords and organs provide links to the fifteenth through eighteenth century keyboard literature.

Concerts, recordings and competitions are scheduled annually.
